While waiting for Hartmut to pick us up to take us to the station, as luck would have it there was a festival happening in Oberhacking.

Due to my cold, we found a coffee shop and dozed a while. Sometimes I watched the festivities and sometimes drank latte macchiato. A pleasant way to spend the morning.

However as the morning went on, I felt up to a little wander around

Sadly we had to make your way back to the hotel. It was time to go home.

So back at the hotel, time for one last photo before Hatmut takes us to the station.

All to soon we were at the station.

And although there was a bit up delay. All to soon…

And we were back in Blighty.

But first, we popped into town, a short walk, dear readers, to get me something for my cough.

Luckily our hotel was signed posted so no getting lost and being late for meeting Hartmut back at the hotel.

However, before we move on I should mention the hotel. It was clean and efficient. The food is good as long as you like what I describe as a german breakfast. Salami, cheese, bread, coffee and orange /mango juice.

We also met Crystal Hartmut’s wife. Thet invited us to brunch and we had aa pleasant hour or so talking about things. Brexit cropped up and everyone agreed that Nigel Farage was a plausible asshole.

The sun was shining when we started the journey however by the time we got to the Olympic Park.

Although 70 years old Hartmut puts us to shame and runs up the bridge pillar to find the best place to escape the rain!

Once the rain had disappeared we wandered around the stalls and had a few beers

So onto the play. We arrived just in time and although it was in German, it was Hartmut promised, easy to follow. Two different types of people learning to live together. Very relevant for the times we live in.

Once inside we had some lunch. At the Deutsche Museum, there is huge forecourt and places to eat. This clock caught my eye as we ate pizza for lunch.

We wandered around a lot, saw the Mathematics section, weather section computing section and an exhibition about coffee.

Mother seemed quite happy pottering around trying different things out.

Finally, we left and had dinner in a famous Munich restaurant. Mum discovered Weissbeir shandy Unfortunately I don’t have a picture of that so I post a picture of us having lunch in an Italian restaurant in Deisonhoffen.

Well, dear reader its time to leave the apartment so lots of packing. Very sad to go but its time. Off to Diesehoven, we go. Although we do come back again to see the Chinese Tower in the beer garden in the English Gardens.

The train journey to Deisenhoffen was uneventful. Once there we dumped our bags at the only hotel in town. Luckily Sue had booked.

And here is the Chinese tower just by the beer garden. There was a band which playing Omp Paa Paa. And very nice it was too.

So we sat in the beer garden and drank beer and read our books

So we have to fight through the traffic today, due to a German tube strike. A journey that should have taken 20 minutes took over an hour. But we did it.

However, I nearly was run over by the tram although no one noticed

However, we made it to the museum and the fun begins.

First, we learnt that BMW made aircraft then cars and are looking to make electric cars in the future.

And they do motorcycles too!

And so readers to the last stop of the day to the Olympic Park. West Germany held the games in 1972. The park is now mature and green. I could have spent ages just sitting in it. However, we ended up going to the top of the tower. And saw some fabulous views. Check it out below folks!

So dear readers after a short bus ride and a long walk we got to our destination. The Museum Brandhorst is a large modern building and for a rainy day is just what we wanted. Superb value for money one euro each.

Now dear readers you may of heard of Andy Warhol but Cy Twombly? Apparently Cy Twombly is an american painter sculptor and photographer. Apparently he belonged in the era of Robert Rauschenberg and Jasper Johns. Whoever they were.

Well dear reader that would of been enough for one day, but we we eager to continue onward and upwards..

So for the princely sum of 1 euro we visited the Die Neue Sammlung. And I can here the reader cry out what is this wondrous museum. Well dear reader lets ask wiki!
